The Buzz — Community Pollinator Celebration!

Sun Jun 28, 2020, Nobleton, King, GTA, ON

The Buzz is a community celebration hosted by the Township of King in tandem with National Pollinator Week. As a Certified Bee City, King Township wants to celebrate our commitment to helping pollinators by hosting a celebration that will both engage the public and improve pollinator habitat through educational activities.

The Buzz will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Cold Creek Conservation Area, a natural area that is of ecological and natural heritage significance. Through this event, we are hoping to increase awareness on the importance of pollinators through vendors, walking tours, workshops, talks from experts, eco-activities, and food and drink. The Buzz will be a fun-filled day for the whole family that will leave you buzzing!

The Buzz will be an all ages, free-to-enter event and will be focused on increasing community engagement throughout the Township, as well as increasing the general population’s awareness levels in regards to the importance of pollinators. We hope to engage a variety of age groups through differing activities ranging from arts and crafts for children to guided walks and educational talks for adults. As a certified Bee City, King Township has adopted a resolution to provide environmental educational opportunities to the local community and executing The Buzz will fulfill our commitment to supporting pollinator protection in the Township.
