Cherish the land & local food: Riding the Waves with Vietnam

Sat Aug 31 to Mon Sep 2, 2019, Vancouver, BC

TAIWANfest 2019: Riding the Waves with Vietnam
Downtown Vancouver
(700 Granville Street, Vancouver)

• August 31 | 11am - 10pm
• September 1 | 11am - 10pm
• September 2 | 11am - 6pm

What happens when we take care of the environment? We get to indulge in better tasting and better quality food and produce!

At TAIWANfest 2019, we’re working with people who go straight to the source of food - Taiwanese locals who cherish the land their food products come from. At “Let’s Savour Taiwan”, you’ll see how Mr. Pan, a chef and farmer, takes surplus and imperfect produce and creates delectable jams and sauces. Taste the difference that a natural and traditional brewing process makes, with the perfect bottle of this savoury condiment at “The Soy Sauce Test”. Meet Allie Huang, the owner of “Alley No. 11”, a coffee shop in Tainan, Taiwan, with a passion for food science. That passion drives her to focus on using natural, sustainable ingredients and produce from local farmers to create quality food.

Indulge in the love and care that Taiwan’s farmers put into their crops and produce - only then can you taste Taiwan on your palate! With free admission, see all the arts, performances, and everything else TAIWANfest 2019 offers, in Downtown Vancouver from August 31st to September 2nd!
