The Bicycle Ball

Fri Sep 27, 2019, Ottawa, ON

Low—Carbon Fancy for the Sustainable Socialite

We’re organizing a Ball with a twist to celebrate EnviroCentre’s 20th Anniversary, and jump-start Ottawa’s movement toward a low-carbon culture. And we’d love for you to join us.

What on earth is a Bicycle Ball?

Imagine a fancy party, low-carbon chic. Guests arrive by low-to-no carbon means: transit, biking, walking, wheeling, or even canoeing to the event. Snacks and drinks are low-carbon, plant-based, and everything is as low-waste as possible. Fun through a filter of sustainability. Because who says you can’t rock a fancy party in low-carbon style?

At EnviroCentre our mission is to provide people with practical solutions to lighten their environmental impact. We believe that the key to light living is finding great ways to do it, and that a real transition will take off only when creative culture meets low-carbon and fuses into lifestyle choices people actually want. And yes, we really like bikes.

The Bicycle Ball is our way of inviting Ottawa to celebrate and participate in a low-carbon vision for our city. Sustainable choices and having a blast can go hand in hand, and we want you to help us make that happen.

Event Highlights:

• Live music and performances
• Plant-based, locally sourced apps
• Cocktails and drinks
• A fun event that won’t cost the earth
