Permaculture Foundations & Inner Permaculture Workshops (Feb 23-25)

Sat Feb 23 to Mon Feb 25, 2019, London, ON

Permaculture is an eco-logical approach to design based on whole system thinking. The design principles are derived from the science of systems ecology and sustainable development. These principles can be applied to create resilient, economically stable, and productive landscapes, homes and communities.

Central to Permaculture are the three ethics - earth care, people care and fair share. Permaculture maximizes useful connections. The focus being on relationships created among elements by the way they are place together. Permaculture seeks to minimize waste, human labor and energy through design processes that maximize synergy. These systems can produce high levels of food and materials with minimal input

The workshop contains a healthy mixture of theory and engaging hands-on exercises with a focus on the creation of a forest garden. Learn methods and strategies for creating positive changes in your life, community and the environment.

Through a combination of theory and hands-on exercises, the workshop will cover:

• Permaculture Ethics & Design Principles
• Concepts and Methods in Sustainable Design
• Designing for Organic Food Production
• Creating A Food Forest
• Ecologically-Friendly Property Design
