Tree Identification (workshop at Guelph Arboretum)

This program will help you refine your skills at identifying trees in Ontario. The focus will be on learning important identification characteristics. Difficult groups such as the cherry, oak and walnut families as well as the easier groups such as ash and maple will be explored. The afternoon will be spent outside, identifying trees in the forest as well as young cultivated trees with their Eurasian counterparts in the World of Trees collection. Bring your field guide and binoculars. Arboretum Director: Shelley Hunt. Early Bird Fee: $75.00. Registration deadline: Monday, July 9. Registrations after this date will cost $85.00. Note: If we don't have enough registrations by the early bird deadline the course may be cancelled. *Maximum 16 adults
