Summer Networking Meeting : Working through Ecology and Environment for a Sustainable Ontario (Saturday & Sunday)

Ontario Environment Network (OEN) and Protect Our Water and Environmental Resources (POWER) invite you to attend our summer networking and learning event. A combination of inside and outdoor sessions, this event is a don't miss!

Saturday June 16, 2018 9am-5pm (until sunset and beyond)
Italian Canadian Club of Milton, 104 Tremaine Rd, Milton, ON L9T 2W9
$15 for non members, free for members.

Learn and explore the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals including how and why they can enable the SDGs while enabling the work we do for the environment. A panel including municipal government and a funder will share why they are engaging.

We will also discuss the future of the Ontario Environment Network and Strategic Plan.

After close of the meeting, join us in hands-on efforts to enhance the resilience of biodiversity by tending and adding to the monarch waystation and pollinator patch. We will have dinner and open bar (cost), story telling and conversation (and maybe even a sing along) around the campfire under the stars.


Sunday June 17, 2018 9am-12pm
The Sanctuary - 13028 Highway 7, Georgetown Ontario L7G 4S4

Join us for a half day bioblitz and property work bee at the Sanctuary where we will do some pond depth mapping, invasive species inventories and more.

More information will be provided, however transport can be arranged to/from Milton and Georgetown GO Stations and basic overnight accommodation is available on request at the Sanctuary (bring a sleeping bag).

Member travel subsidies and assistance may be available contact us for information.
