Water Management Workshop (Sat. & Sun.)

Nothing defines the nature of an area more than water does!

Did you know that by applying water management we can restore landscapes? By utilizing the correct techniques we can help to prevent and reverse erosion, reduce flooding, and hinder droughts!

Whether you are a property owner looking to combat flood, drought, and erosion, A student looking to further their knowledge in the water cycle, Or you’re simply curious to learn about how we can interact with water to benefit both us and the planet…

We’ve got an interesting and informative workshop coming up for you!

Through Permaculture we learn to make positive interventions on the landscape through earthwork techniques. Our approach is to ensure that every drop of water is used to its optimal potential and doing so without harming the natural cycles.

Some techniques that will be taught include;

-Flood Prevention
-Working on a small swale
-Soakage pits
-Erosion Management
-Drought prevention

**This workshop is also an exciting camping experience! Participants need to be prepared for camping outdoors with no kitchen provided. Bare in mind that the weather may be cold.**

»Warm clothes
»Good (waterproof) boots & work gloves
»Reliable camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, pillow, etc.)
»Outdoor stove
»All your own food
