The Mysterious World of Moths

Mon Jun 19, 2017, Guelph, ON

Monday, June 19, 2017 - 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.- If you have ever wondered about those close cousins of the butterflies, then this introductory class will open your eyes to the amazing and mysterious world of moths. We'll start off with an introduction to the "moth world" and what makes a moth so unique. Then we'll go through the families or groups of moths that you'll commonly encounter in our area. We'll also do some exploring outside to look for roosting moths, day-flying moths and moth caterpillars. Learn how to identify, find and appreciate the beautiful moths that are all around us. Guest Instructor: Andalyne Tofflemire. Early Bird Fee: $75.00 if done on or before Friday, June 9. Registrations after this date will cost $85.00. Note: If we don't have enough registrations by the early bird deadline the course may be cancelled. Maximum 18 adults. We may possibly do a night mothing outing as well. Stay tuned!
